The CPI(ML) Liberation, a member of the INDIA bloc, voiced criticism on Saturday towards Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for missing the NITI Aayog meeting in Delhi. The party believes Kumar's absence stems from embarrassment due to the Centre's rejection of special category status for Bihar.
Furthermore, the CPI(ML)-L accused the ruling NDA of making misleading claims regarding the special package. Party officials, including leader Mehboob Alam, expressed disappointment over Kumar's non-attendance, arguing that he missed an opportunity to press for Bihar's special status and its reservation laws to be included in the ninth schedule of the Constitution.
The CPI(ML) Liberation announced plans to escalate their 'Haq Do, Vaada Nibhaao' campaign against the NDA in Bihar starting August 1. Their demands range from monetary grants to the poor to guaranteed employment for youth.
