Newly appointed Leader of Opposition in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly, Mata Prasad Dubey, addressed the media on Sunday, committing to spotlight public issues overlooked by the Yogi government's regime. Dubey emphasized the need to discuss concerns related to electricity, governance, and law and order.
Speaking at his appointment, Samajwadi Party leader Dubey stated, "I will try my best to raise the issues of the deprived people who have been neglected by this government in the Vidhan Sabha. We will address all issues, whether it is in the matter of electricity, law and order, or governance." He also proposed extending the current five-day assembly session to a subsequent five-day extension to ensure thorough discussion.
Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav, who endorsed Dubey's appointment, foresees imminent SP governance in Uttar Pradesh. Highlighting the recent electoral successes where SP emerged victorious in 37 seats, Yadav underscored the public's growing support for the party.
