Kremlin Rebuts U.S. Election Interference Claims

The Kremlin dismissed as absurd U.S. intelligence claims that Russia is trying to meddle in the upcoming presidential election, asserting that such accusations are baseless. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated these allegations are often used by both Republicans and Democrats as political tools during the election campaign.

The Kremlin on Tuesday dismissed U.S. intelligence claims of Russian meddling in the presidential election as absurd, accusing American spies of painting Russia as the enemy.

U.S. intelligence officials allege that Russia is attempting to influence the November election using influence-for-hire companies based in Moscow to sway American public opinion. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov vehemently denied these claims, calling them baseless.

"We can expect more such statements as the U.S. elections near, as Russia and its head are prominent figures leveraged by both Republicans and Democrats in their electoral battles," Peskov commented.
