National Conference president Farooq Abdullah on Tuesday expressed concerns about rising terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, stating that the terror attacks are testing the patience of the country's people and could lead to a larger confrontation.
Addressing reporters, Abdullah emphasized the need for peace between India and Pakistan, warning that the increasing violence might push India to take stronger measures to curb terrorism. He mentioned that terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir are highly trained and likely come from across the border, indicating a grave danger.
Responding to queries about the alleged involvement of Pakistani commandos in recent attacks, Abdullah said the nature of these assaults suggests they could be executed by elite soldiers. He also spoke about the planned all-party meeting in Jammu and Kashmir, which is likely to take place in August.
