Dhairyasheel Mane, a seasoned politician and two-time Member of Parliament, has been appointed as the deputy leader of the Shiv Sena's parliamentary party in the Lok Sabha.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, who leads the ruling Shiv Sena, confirmed the appointment in a letter addressed to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. The announcement followed a meeting held in Delhi on June 7 under Shinde's chairmanship.
The letter, dated July 25, stated that Mane was unanimously selected for the role. Mane represents the Hatkanangale constituency in Kolhapur district of western Maharashtra. Notably, Shinde's son, Shrikant Shinde, who is a three-time Lok Sabha MP, was appointed as the leader of the Shiv Sena parliamentary party last month.
