BJD leader Mamata Mohanta has officially resigned from her Rajya Sabha membership. The announcement was confirmed by Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar on Wednesday.

Dhankhar indicated that he received Mohanta's resignation letter, which she submitted personally. The resignation, in accordance with constitutional provisions, was found to be in order.

Mohanta represented the state of Odisha in the Upper House. Her resignation has been accepted with immediate effect.
