India and China Hold Constructive Talks to Resolve Border Standoff

India and China on Wednesday engaged in 'constructive and forward-looking' diplomatic talks aimed at resolving the ongoing border standoff along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh.

The discussions, held in Delhi under the Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination on India-China Border Affairs (WMCC), reviewed the current LAC situation with an emphasis on early resolution of outstanding issues.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) stated that both sides agreed on the necessity of jointly upholding peace and respect for the LAC to restore normalcy in bilateral relations. The meeting concluded with a commitment to maintain momentum via diplomatic and military channels.
