Lone Nagaland MP S Supongmeren Jamir has accused the BJP-led NDA government of stalling a resolution to the longstanding Naga political issue. According to Jamir, the Centre's indecision, despite two signed agreements with Naga groups, has impeded progress. He alleged that instead of implementing the agreements, the government changed the interlocutors, causing further delays.

The Congress leader highlighted that the Union government has been holding separate negotiations with the National Socialist Council of Nagalim-Isak Muivah (NSCN-IM) since 1997 and the Naga National Political Groups (NNPGs) since 2017. However, the Centre's refusal to meet NSCN-IM's demands for a separate constitution and flag has been a significant stumbling block.

Jamir also criticized all MLAs in the 60-member Nagaland Assembly for creating an opposition-less government. He emphasized Congress's dedication to finding an early solution, encouraging collaboration with NGOs, the government, and national workers. He added that Rahul Gandhi is fully aware of the issues and accused the BJP of making false promises to the Naga people.
