DNC Launches Bold Advertising Blitz Targeting Trump's Debate Dodge
The Democratic National Committee (DNC) has initiated an aggressive ad campaign criticizing Republican Donald Trump for not committing to a debate with Kamala Harris, which will trail him across key states. This move follows after Trump chose not to engage in a debate post Joe Biden's withdrawal and endorsement of Harris.
The Democratic National Committee's latest advertising campaign launched Friday takes aim at Republican Donald Trump for evading a debate with Kamala Harris. The campaign, a digital onslaught, will shadow Trump on his campaign trail.
Dominating homepages of major local newspapers in states where Trump plans to campaign, the ads accuse the 'convicted felon' of fearing the debate and raise questions about his abortion stance. Initially appearing on the Atlanta Journal Constitution’s homepage ahead of Trump's weekend rally in Georgia, the ads will tail him across other rally stops, according to the DNC.
In their June 27 debate, Trump emerged a clear winner against President Joe Biden, fueling voter concerns about Biden's age. Although a second debate was set for Sept. 10, Biden's withdrawal and endorsement of Harris brought new dynamics. Trump declined to debate Harris, labeling her an unofficial candidate, until former President Barack Obama endorsed her.
