Haryana's Chief Electoral Officer, Pankaj Agarwal, is urging citizens to verify their details in the newly published draft voter list, ahead of the state assembly elections later this year.
Citizens and political parties have until August 16 to file claims and objections using Form-8. District election officers will resolve these by August 26, with the final list published the following day.
Agarwal emphasized the importance of youth registration and highlighted the Election Commission's streamlined process, which now allows for voter registration four times a year. Special dates on July 27, 28, August 3, and 4 are set for voter list preparation, with booth-level officers available to assist. Voter registration is also possible via the Voter Helpline mobile app.
