Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris has turned down an offer by her Republican counterpart, Donald Trump, to move their presidential debate to Fox News, media reports revealed on Sunday.

Trump and then-presidential candidate Joe Biden had initially agreed to participate in two debates. The first occurred in June, hosted by CNN, and the second was scheduled for September 10, hosted by ABC News. However, Biden withdrew from the race last month, making Harris the Democratic candidate.

Trump claimed on Saturday that he agreed to Fox News hosting the debate on September 4 instead, citing a conflict with ABC Network. In response, Harris affirmed she would adhere to the original September 10 date on ABC News, accusing Trump of evading the pre-agreed terms. According to Harris's campaign communication director, Michael Tyler, the Vice President will proceed with the ABC News debate as planned.
