Jordanian Diplomacy Amid Middle East Tensions
Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi will visit Iran to address escalating tensions between Iran and Israel. This marks the first high-level Jordanian visit to Iran in over 20 years. Safadi's visit follows the assassination of key militant leaders, allegedly by Israel, which has fueled threats of retaliation.
Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi is scheduled to visit Iran on Sunday, in an effort to curb the growing tensions and potential for a wider conflict following recent high-profile killings of Iran-allied militants.
This visit will be the first official high-ranking Jordanian trip to Iran in over 20 years. Jordan, a staunch Western ally, has played a significant role in intercepting missile threats from Iran directed at Israel.
As fears mount over possible retaliatory strikes by Iran and its allies, Safadi is set to deliver a message from Jordan's King Abdullah II to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, focusing on regional stability and bilateral relations.
