West Bengal Chief Minister Calls for Peace Amid Bangladesh Unrest
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has appealed for peace and urged citizens to avoid provocation amidst the ongoing unrest in Bangladesh. She declined to comment on Bangladesh's political situation, stating that it's a matter for the Ministry of External Affairs. Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has resigned amidst massive protests.

Amid the ongoing unrest in Bangladesh, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday called for peace and urged the people of West Bengal to avoid provocation.
The Chief Minister declined to comment on the developments in Bangladesh, stressing that it is the prerogative of the Ministry of External Affairs to respond.
'I urge all citizens of West Bengal to maintain peace and steer clear of any form of provocation,' Banerjee stated at the West Bengal assembly.
She also emphasized that whatever decision the Centre takes on this issue, the state will adhere to it.
Reports indicate that Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has resigned and left the country following massive protests that have resulted in over 106 deaths in the past two days.
