The Rajasthan government announced on Monday that Agniveers who die in combat will receive the same benefits as soldiers under the Kargil package. This was disclosed during a legislative assembly session.
'Since Agniveer is also a part of the armed forces. Therefore, if he is declared a Battle Casualty (Fatal), then all the facilities payable by the state government under the Kargil package will be applicable to Agniveer,' said the government while responding to a query from Leader of Opposition Tikaram Jully regarding relief packages for Agniveers.
Families of fallen soldiers under the state's revised Kargil package are entitled to cash, land, and government jobs, enhancing the support extended during such tragedies.
