India Assures Support to Sheikh Hasina Amid Bangladesh Unrest
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar informed an all-party meeting that India has assured support to former Bangladesh prime minister Sheikh Hasina. India is also working with the Bangladesh Army to ensure the safety of over 10,000 Indian students in Bangladesh amid political unrest following Hasina's resignation.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar addressed an all-party meeting, confirming India's support for former Bangladesh prime minister Sheikh Hasina, who arrived in India on Monday evening. Jaishankar said India is allowing Hasina time to decide her future course of action.
The meeting, held in Parliament House, was updated on efforts to ensure the safety of over 10,000 Indian students in Bangladesh. Jaishankar noted that India is in regular contact with the Bangladesh Army regarding this concern.
Congress leader Karti Chidambaram affirmed his party's support for the government's national security initiatives. The meeting, aimed at discussing the situation in Bangladesh, was attended by senior political leaders including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi.
