The Himachal Pradesh Assembly is gearing up for its Monsoon Session, set to start on August 27 and extend until September 9, as confirmed by House Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania.
The two-week session will include 10 sittings, with breaks on Saturdays. MLAs will have the flexibility to submit their questions online and offline to the Assembly Secretariat.
This session is particularly significant as it is the first post-Lok Sabha polls and bypolls. It features 40 Congress MLAs and 28 BJP MLAs in the 68-member House. Additionally, for the first time, a husband-wife duo, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu's wife Kamlesh Thakur, will be serving as MLAs.
