Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has vowed to strengthen the party organization in Jharkhand to ensure that the INDIA bloc government is re-elected in the forthcoming state elections. Kharge's statement came after a meeting with Congress leaders, including Jharkhand unit chief Rajesh Thakur and AICC in-charge of state Ghulam Ahmad Mir.
In a social media post on X, Kharge expressed his commitment to reaching out to the people and fortifying the organisation to establish the INDIA government once again in Jharkhand. He also emphasized the party’s resolve to safeguard the region's water, forests, land, and tribal culture.
The meeting followed a day after Jharkhand Congress leaders met with Congress General Secretary K C Venugopal, who is in charge of the organization. The Congress is currently in alliance with the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, the RJD, and the Left in the state. The state elections are expected to take place later this year.
