On Friday, the Supreme Court granted bail to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia in the Delhi excise policy case. The court's decision has sparked widespread reactions, with leaders from various political camps expressing their opinions.

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao welcomed the verdict, expressing hope that others named in the chargesheet, like K Kavitha and Arvind Kejriwal, would also receive relief. 'In India, there are many leaders who are being imprisoned even after the filing of chargesheet which is wrong. I welcome the Supreme Court's verdict,' said Rao.

Echoing similar sentiments, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor supported the bail decision, lamenting that it should have come sooner. 'In our system, it's the rule - bail, not jail. He is coming out after almost 2 years; it should have been done earlier,' commented Tharoor.

AAP MP Sanjay Singh and Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj also hailed the Supreme Court's order. Singh remarked that it was a victory of truth and a significant relief for the party. Bharadwaj highlighted that the decision represented a milestone for Indian democracy, questioning the central government's actions and their impact on Sisodia's life.

The Supreme Court's order includes several conditions such as surrendering the passport and appearing at the police station twice a week. Sisodia was arrested in February 2023 over alleged irregularities in the Delhi excise policy, purportedly playing a crucial role in the conspiracy, according to the CBI.
