During a news conference following his meeting with Lebanese parliament speaker Nabih Berri, a key ally of Hezbollah, Hochstein addressed questions about the potential for conflict.
'I hope so, I believe so,' Hochstein replied when asked if a war could be avoided, signaling his confidence in preventing hostilities.
