The Himachal Pradesh BJP has leveled serious accusations against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, alleging she is attempting to cover up the rape and murder of a Kolkata medic. The incident has sparked widespread protests across the nation.
Radhika Khera, National Spokesperson for the BJP, stated that the post-mortem report indicated the involvement of three individuals in the crime, yet only one suspect has been apprehended. Khera alleged that efforts are being made to protect the remaining culprits, who are suspected to have ties with the TMC.
Additionally, Khera criticized the handling of the case, noting that the principal of R G Kar Medical College and Hospital resigned amid protests but was reassigned by Banerjee instead of being allowed to step down. The case's delayed registration has also raised questions from the court, and Khera asserted that Banerjee should have handed the case over to the CBI for a prompt investigation.
