An Israeli strike in southern Lebanon early Saturday resulted in the death of at least 10 Syrian nationals, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry. The casualties included a woman and her two children, with five others wounded, two critically.
The strike on Wadi al-Kfour in Nabatieh province is among the most lethal since Hezbollah and the Israeli military began exchanging attacks on October 8, ignited by Hamas's assault on southern Israel and the subsequent Israel-Hamas war in Gaza. Avichay Adraee, a spokesperson for the Israeli military, stated that the strike targeted a Hezbollah weapons depot.
Mohammad Shoaib, an industrial worker in Wadi al-Kfour, described the targeted area as industrial and civilian, containing factories and a dairy farm. Lebanese and international governments are urgently seeking to end the ongoing clashes. Previous strikes have already resulted in high-profile casualties and widespread displacement, with more than 500 killed since October 8.
