BJP's Babulal Marandi Expresses Concern over Ex-CM Champai Soren's Discontent

Jharkhand BJP president Babulal Marandi acknowledges former Chief Minister Champai Soren's anguish after Soren's post about being insulted during his tenure. Soren hinted at exploring new paths amidst speculation of leaving JMM. Marandi refrained from commenting on Soren joining BJP.

Amid speculation surrounding former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren's potential exit from Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), BJP state president Babulal Marandi on Monday expressed empathy toward Soren's grievances. Addressing Soren's heartfelt online post, Marandi stated, 'The way he wrote the post, his pain is visible. He's deeply hurt because of the way he was ousted from the CM position, and now that pain has come to light.

Referring to Champai Soren's emotional post on X, in which Soren claimed he was 'insulted' during his tenure, Marandi revealed the internal struggles within JMM. 'Since Hemant Soren came to power in 2020, no other leader from JMM has managed to emerge. Champai Soren's anguish is understandable, and his feelings have now become public,' Marandi told ANI. When questioned about the possibility of Soren joining the BJP, Marandi remained non-committal.

'I can't say. He mentioned visiting Delhi to meet his family, as people often do when they are in pain,' Marandi noted. On Sunday, Champai Soren shared instances on X where he was sidelined and ultimately forced to resign, driving him to consider alternative paths. Soren described his emotional turmoil and the continuous disrespect he faced, ultimately compelling him to look beyond JMM.
