Raj Thackeray, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief, attributed the recent success of opposition parties in the Lok Sabha polls to 'anti-Modi' and 'anti-Shah' votes, not to increased support for the Maha Vikas Aghadi.
Addressing a press conference, Thackeray stated that Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar's parties won't receive these votes in the upcoming assembly polls expected in October-November.
'A huge portion of Dalits and Muslims voted against the BJP,' he said, adding that this anti-incumbency wave has now dissipated. Thackeray also slammed Sharad Pawar for introducing caste politics and defection in Maharashtra.
