Venezuelan Candidate to Address EU Foreign Ministers

Edmundo Gonzalez, the opposition presidential candidate from Venezuela, is set to meet with the foreign ministers of the European Union's 27 member states on Thursday in Brussels. This was confirmed by Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares.
"Edmundo Gonzalez will connect today to give us his point of view," Albares informed reporters before a scheduled meeting with EU foreign affairs ministers in Brussels. The engagement aims to provide Gonzalez a platform to discuss matters relevant to Venezuela's political landscape.
Albares further elaborated that the request for this meeting was made to him personally. He then communicated it to the high representative for EU foreign affairs, Josep Borrell, lending his full support to the initiative.
