Akhilesh Yadav has hit back at Yogi Adityanath's recent critique regarding the color red, emphasizing perspective in the perception of colors. Addressing the issue on social media platform X, Yadav noted that colors themselves are neutral and it's the absence of love and harmony in a person's life that fuels negativity towards colors such as red.

The exchange was sparked when Adityanath labeled the SP's history as full of 'black deeds,' associating the color red with negative actions. Yadav, whose party is visually identified by red caps, argued that colors deeply connect with psychology and shouldn't be seen in a negative light. Red, he asserted, is a symbol of unity and power.

Expanding on his point, Yadav defended the positive connotations of black in Indian tradition, such as the 'black tika' for protection and 'black beads' in mangalsutras. He argued that negative view of colors stems from narrow dominant thinking and stressed the importance of maintaining a positive diversity towards all colors to foster hope and enthusiasm in life.
