Assam CM Welcomes Champai Soren to BJP, Invites Him to Assam

In a significant political move, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma extended a warm welcome to Champai Soren, who joined the BJP recently. The CM invited Soren to Assam and for a meal at his house. 'Yesterday Champai Soren joined BJP, so I thought I should go and wish him,' said Sarma.
Champai Soren officially became a member of the BJP during a noteworthy event in Ranchi, which saw the presence of Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, and Jharkhand BJP President Babulal Marandi. Promising to work for Jharkhand's development, Soren also expressed his trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
'I will work for the development of Jharkhand and we will stop infiltration from Bangladesh. Tribal villages are vanishing due to Bangladeshi infiltration,' Soren asserted, adding that saving tribals necessitates aligning with the BJP. This comes ahead of the forthcoming legislative assembly elections in Jharkhand, with the election dates yet to be announced by the Election Commission of India.
