Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav has criticized the Uttar Pradesh (UP) government over its use of bulldozers for demolishing properties, following the Supreme Court's directive to establish guidelines for such practices. Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, Yadav claimed the state misused the machinery to target and humiliate individuals for political revenge.
Yadav questioned the legality of the demolitions, seeking proof of approvals and asking if the state would apologize. He further took jabs at Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, suggesting he rename the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to 'Bhartiya Jogi Party' given his history of changing place names.
The SP leader also responded to Adityanath's earlier accusations linking the SP to lawlessness, mocking the CM's understanding of 'DNA.' Yadav highlighted allegations against BJP's financial tactics and referenced recent controversies involving SP members, urging the party to speak less to earn respect.
