BJD president Naveen Patnaik, during the concluding session of the Biju Mahila Janata Dal meeting, urged Odisha's women to expose the 'lies' of the BJP, asserting the party's dedication to female empowerment. Addressing the attendees at Sankha Bhavan, Patnaik criticized BJP's unfulfilled election promises, including delayed financial assistance under Subhadra Yojana and unkept promises of free electricity.
Patnaik highlighted the success of Mission Shakti, which has united 70 lakh women, transforming self-help groups into active entrepreneurs. He emphasized that the BJD will continue to serve as the voice of women, pledging support against rising crimes towards women.
Expressing hope for women's reservations in Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha, Patnaik stressed the need for greater female membership and responsibilities within the party. He concluded by calling for a united effort to create a safer and empowered environment for women in Odisha.
