Former Union Minister Anurag Thakur sharply criticized the Congress and National Conference (NC) on Thursday, accusing them of attempting to reverse the progress and peace achieved in Jammu and Kashmir following the abrogation of Article 370.

Addressing a roadshow in Padder-Nagseni, Thakur alleged that by advocating the reinstatement of Article 370, the opposition parties aimed to return the region to an era marked by terrorism and unrest. He highlighted the rapid development and tourist influx in J&K post-abrogation, achievements he claimed the NC and Congress were unwilling to acknowledge.

Thakur emphasized the significant increase in public support for the BJP in J&K, citing the large turnout at the rally, and called for voters to deliver a decisive mandate in favor of the BJP in the upcoming assembly elections. He also praised the infrastructural developments under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.
