Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (RLJP) chief Pashupati Kumar Paras on Sunday ruled out any possibility of a reconciliation with his nephew and Union minister Chirag Paswan, saying it's too late now.
In an interview with PTI Videos, Paras remarked that when his elder brother Ram Vilas Paswan was alive, no rift existed between the brothers.
Regarding the prospect of reuniting with Chirag, the former Union minister emphatically stated, ''This can never happen. That situation is not there now. It is too late now. When parties break, they can unite but when hearts break, they cannot,'' he added.
Paras reflected on the united family and party during Ram Vilas Paswan's lifetime but lamented the split post his death, indicating that the reasons for the division are well-known.
Highlighting political maneuvers, Paras mentioned meeting Bihar BJP chief Dilip Jaiswal in Patna and then Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi, discussing the upcoming 2025 Bihar assembly elections.
Additionally, the RLJP chief dismissed opposition comments on NDA's unity, specifically from RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and his sister Rohini Acharya. Paras affirmed that the NDA is completely united under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, who he described as the ''unanimously accepted leader of the entire country'' addressing everybody's interests.
