Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar on Sunday denied reports suggesting his trip to the United States was politically motivated, clarifying that it was purely a personal visit.
Shivakumar sent a letter to AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge, affirming his visit to the USA from September 8 to September 16 is for personal reasons. He debunked rumors of meetings with former US President Barack Obama and US Vice-President Kamala Harris.
Addressing the media, Shivakumar emphasized the non-political nature of his trip and mentioned meeting the Chief Minister earlier in the day. Official sources confirmed the personal intent of his visit.
