External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar emphasized on Tuesday that the Ukraine conflict cannot be resolved through military means, but through negotiations. He stated that India is willing to provide advice if Russia and Ukraine seek it.

Speaking at the Annual Ambassadors’ Conference of the German Foreign Office in Berlin, Jaishankar reiterated India's position, a day after discussing the matter with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Saudi Arabia. Citing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visits to both Moscow and Kyiv, he stressed that this is not an era of war and that conflicts aren’t a practical way to resolve differences.

In addition, Jaishankar lauded the revival of the Quad, describing it as a crucial diplomatic platform. He also noted India's significant economic progress and its growing influence in global affairs, particularly in technology and digital infrastructure.
