Historic Monsoon Session of Himachal Pradesh Assembly Concludes

The Himachal Pradesh Assembly adjourned sine die on Tuesday, marking the conclusion of an eleven-sitting Monsoon Session. The session, originally set to end on Monday, extended by a day, setting a record for the longest Monsoon Session in the state's history.

According to Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania, the session saw 53 hours of proceedings with a productivity rate of 96 per cent. During this period, a total of 480 starred and 299 unstarred questions were addressed. Additionally, two government resolutions under Rule 102 were passed, and five issues were discussed under Rule 130.

The session, which ran from August 27 to September 10, included two private member's days and saw 12 issues being raised through special mentions under Rule 324.
