National Conference vice president Omar Abdullah on Wednesday criticized the BJP government for distributing arms to villagers in Jammu, calling it a glaring failure to curb terrorism in the region.
Addressing an election rally, Abdullah accused BJP of backing smaller groups and independent candidates to form the next government while they superficially advocate for Jammu's safety. He denounced this move as contradictory, given the spread of terrorism under BJP's rule.
Abdullah assured that the NC-Congress alliance would free Jammu from terrorism and decried BJP's tactics as a conspiracy to divide votes in Kashmir.
