In a confident stride toward his seventh consecutive term, Bharatiya Janata Party leader Anil Vij filed his nomination papers from the Ambala Cantonment assembly constituency on Wednesday. This move comes ahead of the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections.

Speaking to reporters post-nomination, Vij expressed unwavering confidence in his victory. He praised the 'intelligent' voters of Ambala Cantonment, attributing his past six wins to their support. 'The enthusiasm seen in the entire Ambala Cantonment today indicates another significant win for me,' Vij noted.

Taking aim at the Congress party, Vij highlighted internal conflicts within the opposition. 'Since the Election Commission announced the elections, Congress has been marred by infighting,' he stated. Haryana's legislative assembly elections are scheduled for October 5, with vote counting on October 8.
