Engineer Rashid Vows to Challenge Modi’s Naya Kashmir Post-Bail

Baramulla MP Engineer Rashid was released from Tihar Jail on interim bail, allowing him to campaign for the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections. Rashid vehemently criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Naya Kashmir narrative,' vowing to stand against it.
Outside the jail, Rashid also attacked National Conference leader Omar Abdullah and PDP president Mehbooba Mufti, blaming them for the turmoil in Kashmir. He emphasized his determination to fight for the people of the region.
Rashid, who has been incarcerated since 2019 under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, pledged to bring peace to Kashmir and demonstrate that its residents are more than stone-pelters. He clarified that his party, Awami Ittehad Party, would not align with any major political blocs for the elections.
