E P Jayarajan Breaks IndiGo Boycott for Party Leader's Funeral
Two years after vowing never to fly IndiGo, CPI(M) leader E P Jayarajan took the airline to reach Delhi quickly for the funeral of party general secretary Sitaram Yechury. Jayarajan's boycott began after a scuffle on an IndiGo flight carrying Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan in 2022 led to a flying ban.

In an unexpected move, CPI(M) leader E P Jayarajan broke his two-year boycott of IndiGo on Thursday night to attend the funeral of the late party general secretary Sitaram Yechury in Delhi.
Jayarajan's boycott stemmed from a July 2022 incident when IndiGo imposed a three-week flying ban on him for his involvement in an onboard scuffle that also included Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
Despite his previous strong statements against the airline, Jayarajan said Yechury's importance outweighed his past grievances, necessitating a quick trip to Delhi.
