Ajay Kumar Singh's Term as President's Press Secretary Extended Till 2025
Ajay Kumar Singh, currently serving as the Press Secretary to President Droupadi Murmu, has had his tenure extended by one year, until September 25, 2025. This extension, approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, continues Singh's role which began in 2019.

Ajay Kumar Singh, the Press Secretary to President Droupadi Murmu, has had his tenure extended by one more year, according to a Personnel Ministry order released on Saturday. His term will now last until September 25, 2025.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has sanctioned Singh's extended tenure on a contract basis, effective from September 26, 2024, to September 25, 2025. Singh had initially taken up the role in September 2019 under former President Ram Nath Kovind.
In 2020, Singh's term was extended to align with President Kovind's tenure. This was followed by another extension in 2022. President Murmu has held office since July 25, 2022.
