Misri noted that the people value India's engagement in these talks during a special briefing in New York, coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's three-day visit to the U.S. Modi recently visited Ukraine, advising President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and urging both sides to negotiate for peace, reaffirming India's willingness to play an active role in resolving the conflict.
Modi's Ukraine visit was the first by an Indian prime minister since Ukraine's independence in 1991. This visit followed recent talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, sparking reactions in some Western countries. Additionally, Bangladesh figured in Modi's bilateral and multilateral meetings, where there was an exchange of views on the situation there.
