Naga Chaitanya's father and veteran actor Nagarjuna condemned the Minister's remarks, urging her not to involve celebrities' private lives in political discourse. The BRS party denounced the comments as 'uncouth' and 'disgusting,' stating they would pursue legal action.

Ramarao has sent a legal notice to Surekha, demanding a public apology within 24 hours to avoid a defamation suit and criminal case.
