Indonesia's freshly inaugurated President Prabowo Subianto swore in his cabinet, which analysts suggest reflects the policy continuity of his predecessor. Prabowo took over from Joko Widodo, becoming the eighth president, and pledged to combat corruption while striving for self-sufficiency in food and energy.

The cabinet features 48 ministries staffed by over 100 ministers and deputies. Prominent re-appointments include Sri Mulyani Indrawati as finance minister and Bahlil Lahadalia as energy minister. A major initiative under her purview is a budget to provide free meals to 20 million children, aimed to align with fiscal targets.

Continuing economic policies seems to be a calculated decision by Prabowo to avoid risks, as noted by analyst Burhanuddin Muhtadi. New foreign minister Sugiono steps in, while Luhut Pandjaitan assumes leadership of the National Economic Council, indicating strategic shifts despite some ministry restructuring.
