BJP Gears Up for Internal Elections in Tripura

The BJP has appointed Samarandra Chandra Deb as the returning officer for its upcoming internal elections in Tripura. In preparation for its internal elections in Tripura, the Bharatiya Janata Party has appointed Samarandra Chandra Deb as the returning officer, according to Rajib Bhattacharjee, the state's party president.

Currently in Delhi for a strategic meeting, Bhattacharjee also announced Bipin Debbarma and MLA Malina Debnath as co-returning officers, appointed by national returning officer K Laxman. The exact election schedule is pending.

Meanwhile, the state's BJP membership drive is progressing swiftly, with 6 lakh new members signed up. Only active members who have connected at least 50 new participants are eligible for leadership roles from booth to state committees, as party efforts intensify.
