Anil Deshmukh, the former Maharashtra home minister, announced his forthcoming book, 'Diary of Home Minister', which claims to reveal a conspiracy against him and the MVA government. This book was conceived during his 14-month imprisonment and aims to expose those responsible for his downfall.

Deshmukh, a leader of the NCP (SP), stated the book will outline false charges against him leading to his resignation and subsequent arrest in 2021. He was released on bail in 2022 after a lengthy court battle. It will be available in Marathi, Hindi, and English, providing insights into the alleged plot against him.

He claims the book will identify individuals who conspired to unseat the Uddhav Thackeray-led MVA government using him as a scapegoat. Deshmukh is currently embroiled in a CBI corruption case and another involving money laundering by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
