Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has taken aim at the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) for what he terms as 'dynastic politics.' This criticism came after the release of JMM's election list, which features Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, his wife Kalpana Soren, and brother Basant Soren.

Highlighting the familial connections among the candidates, Sarma—BJP's co-in-charge for the Jharkhand elections—suggested the JMM lacks diversity in its candidate pool. He remarked that the BJP could offer additional candidates, referencing some saffron party leaders who recently joined the JMM.

Polling for the 81-member assembly in Jharkhand is scheduled for November 13 and November 20, with results announced on November 23. Top BJP leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, are set to campaign in Jharkhand after November 3.
