The political landscape in Maharashtra is charged with controversy as a recent video captures a man openly rebuking Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, accusing him of treachery. The incident, which has sparked discussion days before elections, took place in Mumbai's Sakinaka area.
Santosh Katke, the man in the video, disrupted Shinde's convoy, calling him a 'gaddar' (traitor) for siding with BJP and affecting a split in the Shiv Sena. The confrontation happened near the office of Congress figure Naseem Khan, where Shinde halted to address the situation.
Security detained Katke but later released him. Interestingly, Katke and his father joined the Shiv Sena (UBT) faction shortly after, sanctioned by prominent leader Uddhav Thackeray. Political allegiances continue to shift since Shinde's controversial leadership move in 2022.
