Hindutva Activist Arrested for Threatening Karnataka Minister

A Hindutva activist named Puneeth Kerehalli was arrested for allegedly making threats and derogatory remarks against Karnataka Minister B Z Zameer Ahmed Khan. The arrest came after Kerehalli's Facebook post criticizing Khan's comment about Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy. Chamarajpet police acted on a complaint filed by Khan's supporter.

In a controversial Facebook post, Puneeth Kerehalli criticized Khan for his comments referring to Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy as 'Kaalia' during campaigning for Congress candidate C P Yogeeshwara in the Channapatna assembly bypoll.

The provocative nature of the post led Chamarajpet police to arrest Kerehalli, acting on a complaint lodged by a supporter of Khan.
