In a fierce political exchange, BJP leader Gaurav Bhatia launched a vehement critique of AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of being 'anti-Hindu' and 'anti-development' following the announcement of the Pujari Granthi Samman Yojana. Bhatia alleged that Kejriwal was making unfulfilled promises ahead of the Delhi assembly elections.

Bhatia questioned Kejriwal's motives, describing financial promises to religious leaders as tactics meant to divert attention from unachieved past commitments. He accused Kejriwal of aligning with liquor mafias by allowing alcohol shops near religious sites, claiming hypocrisy in AAP's stance.

Kejriwal, in response, took to the platform X to dismiss the BJP's accusations, urging them to focus on acknowledging priests and granthis in BJP-governed states instead of criticizing his initiatives. The controversy escalates as both parties prepare for the upcoming electoral battle in Delhi.
