German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has underscored the United States' vital role in resolving the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, warning against an imposed peace. In a recent interview with Politico, Scholz highlighted the importance of U.S. involvement, stating, "It is very clear to me that there must be no solution that does not also involve the U.S."

Emphasizing the next critical task, Scholz insisted that an imposed peace must be avoided, a stance consistent with discussions between U.S. President Donald Trump and global leaders. Trump engaged in talks with both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on the matter.

The timing of Scholz's interview with Politico remains uncertain, specifically whether it occurred before or after Trump’s diplomatic phone calls. This ongoing dialogue highlights international efforts to navigate a peaceful path forward in the Ukraine conflict.
