During a brief encounter, Patnaik questioned Mahakud's absence, asking if Mahakud attended the Assembly to observe the BJP chief minister instead. Mahakud cited ill health for his nonattendance, but Patnaik seemed skeptical, further questioning Mahakud's intentions.
