On Jammu and Kashmir Sankalp Diwas, BJP President in the Union Territory, Sat Sharma, asserted that the populace of Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POJK) feels insecure and yearns to align with India. He noted that the current atmosphere enables open dissent against Pakistan by POJK residents.

Sharma reminded that 31 years ago, a historic parliamentary resolution reaffirmed POJK as an integral part of India. Despite 1990's Kashmir terrorism peak, the BJP supported a unanimous 1994 resolution affirming India's claim over POJK. He emphasized the BJP's ongoing resolve to retrieve areas controlled by Pakistan, highlighting Prime Minister Modi's actions against Article 370 and 35A.

He alleged POJK people now openly express desires to join India amidst Pakistan's economic and security woes, including the imprisonment of a former PM. Sharma urged that central government funds should benefit Jammu and Kashmir inhabitants and called for constructive participation in the budget session by BJP MLAs.
